How Laser Hair Removal Works
Laser hair removal uses light energy to target the pigment in the hair follicle. The energy gently heats the follicle, reducing its ability to grow hair over time while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are needed to effectively target hair during its active growth phase. With each session, hair typically becomes finer, lighter, and less dense.

How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need a series of treatments because hair grows in cycles. Typically, 8 to 10 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart are recommended to achieve long-lasting results.
Does it hurt?
Many clients describe treatments as very comfortable, especially with modern Alma technology.
Can laser hair removal work on different skin types?

Do I need to shave before my appointment?
Yes, typically 12–24 hours before treatment, unless instructed otherwise.
Can I wax between treatments?
No. Waxing and tweezing remove the hair follicle, which the laser needs to target. Shaving is okay.
When will I see results?
Many clients notice slower regrowth and patchiness after the first few sessions, with more noticeable reduction over time.
Is there downtime?
There is little to no downtime. Mild redness or warmth may occur temporarily after treatment.
